The Eventbrite system and Suite can be integrated to perform a one-way sync of attendee data. Through this process, Eventbrite registration data can be synced to the Suite and used to enhance numerous elements and features, making the most of your event.
When setting up your Eventbrite Order Form, it is important to think about the type of profile information you wish to capture, and how this will translate to your event App. This information can be used with Core elements such as Attendee Connect or Attendance Tracking to further enhance App functionality. Confirm profile requirements for your event here.
Select Collection Type
When setting up the Eventbrite Order Form, you will be prompted to select a Collection Type. See below for the Collection Type options.
Basic information Only collects profile data for First Name, Last Name and email address. Each ticket purchased in the order will contain the same basic information.
Buyer Only Register for several attendees through one single registration with all selected questions. Each ticket purchased in the order will contain the same information.
Each Attendee Enter personal details for each ticket in the order. Ticket responses can be copied across different tickets (e.g. Ticket #1’s response can be copied into Ticket #2 and updated accordingly).
It is recommended Each Attendee is selected, as this option allows for all attendees to have their own contact details and personalised profile synced to the Core. When using the Suite, it is important to consider having personalised profiles for each attendee to enable all personalisation features.
Information to Collect
This section of the Eventbrite Order Form allows the event organiser to select which information they would like to collect from attendees. Eventbrite has several existing fields to choose from, or new questions can be added. Below is a list of existing Eventbrite fields that integrate with the Core.
- Prefix
- First Name*
- Surname*
- Email Address*
- Mobile number
- Job Title
- Company / Organisation
*indicates required field
If you are wanting to use data collected by other existing fields in the Eventbrite system, the integrations currently requires those fields to be created as new additional questions/fields (e.g. state, postcode, age etc.) in order for the data to be synced with the Core.
Creating new questions
To capture additional attendee information, new questions can be added. Questions added to the Order Form will sync with the Core if they abide by the following guidelines:
- Avoid using:
- Conditional sub-questions
- Checkbox question types
- Remember Ticket Type will become a Profile Type in the Core
- Allow duplicate emails in the Core
It is recommended the Radio Button question type be used when asking a multiple choice question.
Please note: through the integration, an unlimited number of multiple choice fields can be synced. For text fields, the first 9 additional text-based questions will sync to the Core.
As customisable fields are limited to an additional 10 text fields, it is important to plan ahead with which fields will be what type. The below profile considerations and suggested question types is a good guide to setting up your questions in order to make the most of the App features you wish to utilise.
Profile Considerations
The following suite features can be enhanced through the use of profile information.
